Reading is our Superpower at the WES Book Fair!

Join the fun all you book lovers! The Book Fair is coming soon to Williams Elementary! Book Fair will run from Monday, October 28, 2019 through Friday, November 1, 2019 at Williams Elementary from 9:15 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Parents and family members will also have the opportunity to shop with their favorite students during WES APTT Nights on October 28, 2019 and October 30, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!

Academic Parent Teacher Team Meetings

Please plan to join us for our two nights of APTT meetings. The meeting for the parents of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students will be Monday, October 28, 2019 at 6 p.m. The meeting for the parents of PK, Kindergarten and 1st grade students will be Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 6 p.m. We hope you will join us to learn more about your child's academic performance and how we can work together as a team to help their continued growth.

Big Kahuna Fundraiser Going on Now!

Support Williams Elementary by participating in our Big Kahuna Fundraiser from now until Friday, October 18, 2019. You can order from your student, or you can order online by going to BigKahunaPrime.com and using our school code: 4156. All major credit cards are accepted.

Students who sell 15 items, or families who sell 20 items will get to ride the party bus to Pizza Hut on 2978 for a special lunch. Contact all of your family and friends so you can earn a spot on the party bus!

To register your student's online account for the fundraiser, go to BigKahunaPrime.com and enter the school ID - 4156 and your student ID which is at the top of the order form they brought home in their fundraiser packet. Once you register your information, the site will then send you an email that you can send out to family and friends telling them about this great fundraising opportunity. All items which are ordered online will be shipped directly to your home or to the school.

After the sale concludes, all products and prizes will be delivered to the school to be picked up on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.

10th Annual MISD Flags For Our Heroes Event

You are invited join us at the Houston National Cemetery Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 9 a.m. for the 9th Annual Magnolia ISD Flags For Our Heroes Event! This year will once again be a "meet at the cemetery" event. We will gather at 9 a.m. between the pond and section S1 for a group picture, then we will place flags to honor the memories of our military heroes who have been laid to rest at the Houston National Cemetery.

Flags For Our Heroes is an annual event offering MISD students, staff and their families an opportunity to honor the memories of United States soldiers and family members who have been laid to rest at the Houston National Cemetery.

Attendance matters to your child's success! Make sure your child is at school every day. Did you know that missing just 2 days of school a month means a child misses 10% of the school year? Poor attendance can influence whether children read proficiently by the end of 3rd grade. Absenteeism and its ill effects start early. One in ten kindergarten and first grade students are chronically absent. Learning happens everyday! You must be present to learn!
